Digital Signage Expo 2014, being held in Las Vegas Feb. 11-13, is encouraging professional development and certification as a way to expand proficiency throughout the digital signage industry.

Among the nine pre-conference programs featured on Tuesday, February 11, are:

  • A Digital Out-of-Home Network Operators Conference:
This full day program offers a high-level perspective on the state of the industry. The conference serves as a meeting place for brand marketers, ad agencies and network operators, covering what each constituent needs to know about digital place-based media and its role in the evolving digital landscape.
  • Is Digital Signage Profitable? The Go or No-Go Decision:
This half-day program is designed specifically for AV, IT and sign company professionals interested in adding digital signage to their business offerings. The program will strive to answer the big question, ‘Is digital signage a fit for my business?’
  • Video Walls Unplugged:
The first Thought Leadership Summit of 2014 kicks off at #dse2014 with a look at Video Walls. The global video wall industry will continue to see strong double-digit growth over the next three years, reaching sales of close to one million units in 2015. This full day Summit will discuss all aspects of this market segment expansion with an emphasis on how technology and content need to go hand in hand to continue driving that growth.
  • Mobile & Digital Signage: How to Reach the Distracted Consumer:
This half-day program will focus on solutions for the integration of mobile technology and digital signage, including how to leverage one technology for the benefit of the other, how to overcome current technological challenges and how to address the attention deficit that has accrued from the proliferation of digital devices.
