Following a highly competitive tender process CBS Outdoor Ireland and CIÉ have announced the signing of the contract which will see CBS Outdoor take over the management and development of the CIÉ Group advertising estate for at least the next five years.
CBS Outdoor Ireland will be responsible for marketing, selling, developing and managing the CIÉ Group’s outdoor advertising estate. This includes internal and external advertising formats on the Dublin Bus, Bus Éireann and Iarnród Éireann estates, bridges, bus stations and rail stations, a sizeable roadside billboard portfolio and covers both traditional and digital advertising formats
Commenting on the announcement Colin Leahy, Managing Director of CBS Outdoor Ireland said “We are delighted to have been awarded this contract by CIÉ to manage their Outdoor estate. CBS Outdoor Ireland will implement a significant investment programme which will see a major transformation delivered across the CIÉ advertising estate. Development projects will focus on all areas of the portfolio to deliver improvements on existing formats, and will see the launch of new and innovative traditional and digital media formats. Included in this investment will be the provision of new commuter audience research and insights. All of these initiatives are destined to ensure growth for the future of this highly important Outdoor Advertising portfolio.
