We’ll Be Watching Baltimore

Gail Chiasson, North American Editor

It looks like the city of Baltimore, Maryland, is getting into digital out-of-home in a bigger way.

We’ve not only heard that there’ll be a big ribbon cutting ceremony for an major LED launch at the Amtrak/Penn Station sometime in mid-late February, but we’re hearing whispers of other city projects involving DOOH, as well.

What we do know is that the Amtrak/Penn Station event will include an 8’ x 16’ wide LED screen built into a specially made frame that we’ll be interested to see. We know that this project involves several agencies, Amtrak, InCite LED Media Group LLC of Wichita, Kansas, and NV3 Technologies, a Baltimore-based company that has recently installed digital screen kiosk phone chargers in the Baltimore Airport.

Baltimore is the largest city in the state of Maryland and the 26th largest city in the U.S..
