Craig Gangi Joins Clear Channel Outdoor

Craig Gangi has joined Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings Inc. , New York, as executive vice-president and general counsel for its business in the U.S. and Canada.

craig_gangiIn his new role, Gangi is responsible for all legal matters at Clear Channel Outdoor North America and jointly reports to Suzanne Grimes, president and COO, CCO North America and Rob Walls, executive vice-president, general counsel and secretary for Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings Inc. and CC Media Holdings Inc..

“The complexity of the out-of-home industry, particularly in legal matters tied to real estate, state and municipal law, combined with Clear Channel Outdoor’s broad footprint and diverse portfolio, make the role of general counsel particularly important,” says Grimes. “Craig’s accomplishments are impressive and I believe in his ability to find legal solutions for the company that will enhance our success and benefit our many stakeholders.”

Gangi has broad experience in the media and advertising industries. He joins Clear Channel Outdoor from Omnicom Group, where he was general counsel of Omnicom Media Group and responsible for worldwide legal support in all areas. Prior to Omnicom, Gangi was an executive with AOL Time Warner and a vice-president of Law at Cendant Corporation. He also practiced corporate law at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in New York and was a law clerk in the United States Department of Justice in Washington, D.C..
