The first match at Daktronics equipped facility will take place June 13 at Arena das Dunas in Natal, RN. The first match at the other facility with Daktronics equipment will take place June 14 at Arena da Amazonia in Manaus, AM. Four matches will be played at each facility in the first round including teams such as USA, England, Italy, Japan, Greece and Portugal.

Daktronics will have a field technician on site at Arena da Amazonia for all four matches scheduled to take place at that facility. This person will provide on-site support and service to ensure the displays are operating at their full capability from before the event starts until the fans leave the stadium.

As for Arena das Dunas, the field technician will provide preventative maintenance and inspection before the first match and on-site support for the third match. For all four matches, Daktronics will provide staff for the stadium with at least one engineer who can provide immediate on-site support, if necessary.

“It is a great honor to be hosting such high-caliber matches at these facilities and to have Daktronics displays adding to the overall excitement and atmosphere that the matches bring,” says Osvaldo Toshimitsu, Daktronics Brazil. “These facilities are hosting some highly anticipated matches such as Italy versus Uruguay and Italy versus England, and the USA will play once at each venue. It’s really going to be an exciting couple of weeks.”
