Zoom Media Inc., leading provider of targeted lifestyle media in Canada, has added Edmonton, Calgary and Ottawa to its Digital Networks.

After recently acquiring ClubCom and SmartOne Media, Zoom Media is continuing to solidify its position as a major player in the Digital OOH industry with on-going expansion into new markets.

Investment in installations of screens in Edmonton, Calgary and Ottawa will provide advertisers with significant national coverage. The deployment of these new screens – initially 50 in Ottawa and 50 between the two Alberta cities – and additional expansion in existing markets brings Zoom Media’s digital inventory to over 800 screens throughout its Resto-bar and Fitness networks across Canada.

“During these challenging economic times, we are investing in our digital inventory to be able to deliver on our clients’ expectations of providing effective, national or local digital campaigns within our targeted networks”, says Andy Querin, president & COO – Canada.

‘This expansion in the digital OOH space emphasizes Zoom Media’s focus on providing a flexible, efficient, and dominant digital signage platform to its clients in all major markets,’ notes a company statement. ‘Zoom will continue to expand the digital networks and product offerings in 2009.’

Overall Zoom Media Group Inc. owns and operates more than 80,000 advertising boards across North America and Europe, of which over 26,000 are digital.
