What NOT 2 Miss at the @HenleyFestival

Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

Should any of our readers be heading to the final three nights of the Henley Festival (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) here’s our cheeky list of things NOT to miss: –

BMWBestDressed Thursday Night

Spice Merchant. If you like Indian food, this is the BEST curry house in Henley-on-Thames and their pop-up tent and seating will serve you bento style boxes of delicious Indian cuisine. Good value as well, at about GBP 20 a pop.

Fever Tree. If you like a Gin&Tonic, Fever Tree have a great bar near the main entrance (in fact, conveniently located next to the Spice Merchant) and serve three types of Gin and almost half a dozen variants of tonic (our favourite Elderflower Tonic – but it is an acquired taste).

The Lords of Lightning. At the end of the evening’s main performance there is always fireworks (apart from Sunday) and there’s usually a warm up act or an act alongside it. These guys (two chaps) are AMAZING and absolutely not to be missed (they will ALSO perform Sunday even though there are no fireworks).  I won’t give away what they do but you need to be in front of the second floating stage and watch. You will be both terrified and amazed!

#BMWBestDressed. I still haven’t won it individually (see Thursday night’s attempt above) so tonight it must be the turn of a group team shot. Remember, “Festival goers are invited to drum up their best celebrity pout and take a picture in the BMW Best Dressed photo area and then tweet said photo with hashtag” . Those interested can also follow BMW on twitter @BMW_UK to find out what else will be happening at the BMW Lounge at this year’s festival

You may not win #BMWBestDressed but you could make a fortune selling ice creams in that get up 😉
