Harris Stand at ISE

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

This Harris Infocaster stand design at ISE was really great. Comfy chairs, screens laid out in a style that would make 24’s Operations Centre look dated. A very good stand. The Casino / Gaming section was phenomenal (Planar should take a look at how it was designed and displayed as they ‘play’ in this market […]

C-nario Stand at ISE

Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

In terms of the traditional / bespoke Digital Signage companies at ISE we thought the best stand was a toss up between C-nario’s shown above and Harris Infocaster. C-nario’s seemed to be very busy most of the time. Unfortunately the times we looked, the Harris Infocaster stand looked empty.

Panasonic’s Stand at ISE

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

The centre piece of the Panasonic stand at ISE was their 150" screen (previously only shown at CES and not being shown we believe at Screen Expo Europe) – it was shown roped off (as in an Art Gallery for example – very clever) and attracted a lot of interest. If you looked closely enough […]

Danny Deodorant

Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

Don’t laugh cos’ we think this is actually quite good. As well as doing the two huge screen installs in Terminals 1 and (now) 2 at Manchester Airport, Pixel Inspiration’s very own creative studio came up with the on-screen character ‘Danny Deodorant’. He was liked so much by the airport authority that he was also […]

Manchester Airport’s T2 Goes Digital

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

Major deals and big installs keep on coming, making this a very good start to 2008 for the digital out of home industry. We see that work has just been completed on 72 digital screens at Manchester Airport’s Terminal 2 (Pixel Inspiration the folks behind the install also did a 92 screen installation in Terminal […]

ISE Expo-TV

Nice screens in portrait mode with a SpotDAP speaker on top. The content is very good APART from three x scrolling tickers on the screen. The three screens cover Interviews, Weather (WHY? it’s wet today in Amsterdam and we only need to look outside to see the actual weather) and Sponsor messages. The network is […]

121VIEW’s InterFace Viewer Validation tool

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

Our researchers have already seen this – on the opening day of the ISE show (i.e. today) but booth K134 (located between halls 1 and 6) is the first place that I personally will be heading for as I step off the plane on Wednesday to see 121VIEW’s InterFace Viewer Validation tool. As I know […]

i-conic images

Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

Last bit of news from Paris before we move on to all that is Amsterdam… i-conic images is a newly formed content venture for Digital Out of Home. Take a look at there web site. Similar, we think, to Bluefox (also from Paris) that we covered a few weeks ago and strongly suggested that if […]
