As someone who has been very critical of other people in their attempts to organise so-called ‘industry’ awards, I soon realised that the only way to overcome the issues, as I saw them, was to organise our own awards.

^[1]For those of you who know us well, we also thought we could have a lot of fun at the same time!

When it comes to awards, ‘Digital Out Of Home’ has, for some reason, either been perceived as a subcategory of the Audio/Visual industry, gets thrown alongside a Digital Signage exhibition or conference or else is an afterthought when it comes to general media or even outdoor awards.

Going forward, I firmly believe that these awards will raise the bar by recognising excellence and promote best practice in the industry.

The DailyDOOH Gala Awards ^[1] take place on Thursday 28 November 2013 in London.
