Screen Technology Calls In Administrators

Thursday, May 21st, 2009

Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

Three years ago these folks in Cambridge, England had a red hot product on their hands (ITrans) but corporate ineptitude and wanton waste of investors’ money surely did for them. Even a nice OEM deal with a reputable far east OEM such as LiteMax wasn’t enough to save them – though perhaps someone like a […]

Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

Screen Technolology were showing off their Litemax LiTile on their booth at ISE. It looks about half the width of ITrans (it’s the unit on the table that Dr Paul Bayley and visitor are looking at) and runs on less power and not so hot or noisy.

Window Innovation Continues In Oxford Street

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009

Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

With the high footfall of Oxford Street, London it is fast becoming both a test bed AND a centre of innovation for retail digital signage – not signage in stores necessarily BUT signage in the windows facing out onto the street definitely! At first it was the likes of MediaZest with mobile phone network retailers […]

Litemax LiTile To Be Shown At ISE

Thursday, January 15th, 2009

Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

The iTrans folks over at Screen Technology tell us that they have overhauled their website (my god did it need it), see www.screentechnology.com – it’s a lot better but still pretty amateurish for a company that wants to sell to the advertising, media and marketing world. However the web site does now give a more […]

This list, in no particular order, was compiled along with all of our contributors and like […]

Chris Sheldrake

We heard on the grapevine today at the Kiosk / DS Show in London that two major Chinese railway stations in Kunming and Zhengzhou will each be taking delivery of 125″ ITrans screens from Screen Technology in Cambridge via Cimsoft in Hong Kong.

Zavvi, DSN, Elbow

Friday, September 19th, 2008

Chris Sheldrake

DSN’s Zavvi screen window network shown here in their flagship Piccadilly location showing the advert for the Mercury Award winning album from Elbow. The client was Polydor Records/Universal Music. We also hear rumours that they may have signed a deal with Monster Media. If that’s true then we guess that the horrible Orion Infinite M-PDP […]

FlashTV, who are fast becoming one of those networks that we really like, have just taken delivery of even more Screen Technology ITrans modules. Lim Hoong Teng, CEO, FlashTV told us yesterday “We are very excited about working with Screen Technology in elevating the level of effective advertising around the region. We will be doing […]

LiteMax OEMs Screen Technology’s ITrans

Thursday, September 11th, 2008

Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

Back in June we wrote about the ‘Litemax Version Of ITrans‘ and said… Almost hidden away on a small stand at Infocomm was this rather unique Litemax version of Screen Technology Ltd’s ITrans offering. Well, at last we see an announcement from them – making the deal official. Paul Bayley, Screen Technology CTO told us […]

Screens In Direct Sunlight

Monday, June 30th, 2008

Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

Supporting ambient daylight is a different proposition to being able to work in direct sunlight. We would argue that no screens can ably support full-on, direct sunlight aimed at them but if you are working in street furniture or windows that face out onto the street you can make your life a bit easier by […]
