Karen Germ Joins @YourOAAA

Karen Germ has joined the Out of Home Advertising Association of America (OAAA) as Vice President Marketing.

Anna Bager, President and CEO, OAAA told us “Karen will bring a great deal of expertise and insight into this new role as we expand our marketing efforts. Everything our organization does – from research to events – is focused on promoting the power of the OOH medium and Karen will help us put a megaphone up to all of these initiatives.”

Karen, who will be based in the trade group’s New York office, has been brought on to implement OAAA’s industry-leading initiatives to raise awareness for and elevate OOH as a powerful and exciting format for brands today.

In this newly established role, Karen will oversee the development of all branding and marketing activities – from value proposition to cross-channel communications – to promote OAAA’s programs, content, and events as well as strengthen membership recruitment and retention. Germ will also be focused on amplifying OAAA’s mission to educate and promote the power of OOH with advertisers, agencies, partners and consumers.

She brings over a decade of experience to OAAA in B2B communications and marketing with deep experience launching cross-channel campaigns, developing brand messaging, creating event experiences and bringing industry insights to market. She previously served as Director of Content and Communications at Teads where she increased the company’s share of voice tenfold in her first year by launching global industry research, creating and implementing digital content strategies, and partnering with strategic clients. Prior to Teads, Karen led communications for Taboola where she successfully launched strategic PR and marketing programs in 11 countries across the globe and helped grow the company to over $1B in revenue.
