As The Screens Keep Multiplying, Content Roams Free

Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

Liz Tascio has written a very nice article in the June 2008 issue of MediaPost entitled “Unglued From the Tube” – the ‘tube’ is the TV screen not the London Underground of course!

She starts “Smart phones. Wireless connections. Thumb drives that hold a small library of information on a keychain. Internet cafés… consumers have leveraged their own liberation. The modern consumer is ever more mobile, untethered to media schedules, to heavy PCs, to offices, even to traveling itself. They are not physically tied to any one place: not the office, not the classroom, not the television”

People we know who got a mention include…

Andrew Susman, CEO of Studio One Networks a company that has been syndicating content since the late ’90s gets a nice mention.

Drew Neisser, CEO of Renegade, an interactive marketing agency in New York City berates screens in the back of Taxi cabs

Reneault Poliquin, vice president of sales and marketing, Pixman Nomadic Media

We think it is well worth a read for brands, media buyers and planners.
