NCM Media Networks Gives Cinema Ads A ‘Turbo Boost’

Gail Chiasson, North American Editor

Centennial, Colorado-based, NCM Media Networks, major national cinema network in the U.S., is testing a new media digital delivery system in the Southern California region that will make it faster and easier than ever for advertisers to get their ad up on the big screen in select AMC, Cinemark, Regal Entertainment Group and other top theaters.

NCM’s new Turbo test program will allow clients and agencies in select markets including San Diego, Los Angeles, Fresno-Bakersfield, Las Vegas, Reno and Hawaii to get advertising creative into NCM’s FirstLook pre-show program in 72 hours — a significant improvement over the cinema industry’s current standard 10-20 day turn-around time frame.

“Our goal is to make it easier for brands to use cinema and incorporate our great medium seamlessly into their video buys,” says Cliff Marks, president of sales and marketing with NCM Media Networks. “We have already had initial success with new accounts that had never been able to run in NCM’s FirstLook before due to time constraints, so I look forward to rolling out our new Turbo media digital delivery system to additional regions throughout 2014 and ultimately nationwide by the end of the year.”

For many regional and local companies such as car dealerships or retailers that rely on time-sensitive promotional advertising strategies, this will allow them to move beyond TV or radio and use the power of the big screen to reach customers for the first time.
