Music Software From EnQii

Chris Sheldrake

Seems like EnQii is not finished with its EnGage software announcements just yet as (literally) we have heard – wait for it, there’s a pun coming, Ed of a new in-store audio add on module.

Probably called something like Tempo we believe that it will allows users to produce custom music profiles to compliment their in-store digital signage networks.

This is fundamental in a couple of ways;

  1. This will be seen as a major benefit to the QSR market where we know EnQii is already gaining good traction – effectively of course digital menu boards can be controlled from the same media player that changes the in-store music throughout the day to fit the different trading patterns
  2. It should also (help) remove the sound conflicts that we know occur from having a music player as well as a video player in the same environment.

We wouldn’t be surprised if James Abdool, EnQii’s EMEA President wasn’t fundamental in architecting this – James was after all the man who built up TSC Music Systems, a very successful retail music supply business and then sold it to Imagesound.

His expertise with in-store audio (TSC Music System’s clients did include the likes of Starbucks, McDonald’s The GAP, Caffe Nero, Orange etc.) would mean that not only will EnQii have built a useful new tool, they would also have put together a complete offering – expect then for this new feature to be backed up with a number of global content partnerships that will help them serve their clients.
