Heavyweights Added To @BrightmoveMedia’s Board

BrightMove Media has appointed Nigel Sharrocks, Keith Marsden and Shaun Wyles as non-executive directors with immediate effect as part of its expansion plans.

Piers Mummery, CEO of BrightMove Media told us “We are delighted to welcome our three new directors to the board and are looking forward to working with them. With such a breadth of experience and expertise, this will further support and drive BrightMove Media’s dominant position in real-time digital moving media”.

  • Nigel Sharrocks joins as non-executive chairman. As part of his leadership role, he will assist the management team in developing and strengthening relationships in the media markets. Nigel commented “The Outdoor industry is at a pivotal point of change with the emergence of innovative digital applications. I am extremely excited to be working with the BrightMove Media team, who are definitely at the cutting edge of digital out of home advertising”.
  • Keith Marsden has over 25 years entrepreneurial experience in growing technology businesses and will assist and advise the board on opportunities to enhance the growth and development of the company.
  • Shaun Wyles is an experienced financier and investor in disruptive businesses having spend over 25 years in the UK investment banking sector. We are told that his insights and knowledge in this area will bring an invaluable perspective in helping the company to reach its strategic goals.

About Nigel Sharrocks
Nigel Sharrocks has been in the media and marketing industry for over 30years. He has held senior managerial roles at Mediacom (1990-1997) and Aegis Media (2004-2013), finally reaching the position of CEO of Aegis Global Brands in 2011 after holding a number of regional CEO roles. In this final position he was responsible for the brand networks of Carat, Vizeum and Posterscope. In a small break from media Nigel became UK MD for Warner Brothers Pictures from 1999-2004. Whilst Nigel took a step back from front-line media managerial responsibilities in 2013, he became Non Executive Chairman of Digital Cinema Media and Non Executive Chairman of Broadcasters Audience Research Board (BARB).

About Keith Marsden
Keith Marsden is an experienced and accomplished entrepreneur with an extensive background of working for, incubating and nurturing start-ups. Over the last 25 years he has worked for various tech businesses: in the 90’s he was MD of Psion Dacom, the communications division of the handheld computer group, he then went on to become COO of SCM Microsystems, a U.S. / German company that floated on Nasdaq; from ’96 through ’98, he held the position of MD at Greycell Systems, a mobile communications start-up, which was sold to TDK of Japan; in 2001 Keith joined 192.com where he built and sold the 192business to Experian. He currently holds the position of CEO at www.192.com, which is one of the UKs biggest online directories.

About Shaun Wyles
Shaun Wyles is an experienced investment banker with over 25 years in the Investment Banking sector His career has spanned many senior roles in leading financial institutions including Bankers Trust, Deutsche Bank and BNP Paribas. In 2013 Shaun left the city to concentrate on personal investing in start-ups and has also helped raise capital and provide investment advice for several high-tech companies. He is presently on the Board of BitPoster, a media-tech start-up involved with the aggregation of supply and demand of outdoor advertising.
