Imagine Announces Two Partnerships And Touring Video Collaboration

Imagine Communications, Frisco, Texas-based video infrastructure, advertising systems and workflow management solutions company serving media networks, broadcast stations, digital media, communication service provider and enterprise markets, has announced partnerships with HP and Verizon Digital Media Services plus a collaboration with Touring Video.
Imagine announced the partnership with HP to help media and entertainment companies implement private, virtual video delivery infrastructures in the cloud.
The relationship includes a proof of concept that leverages Imagine Communications’ growing portfolio of cloud-ready, software-based solutions and HP’s global scale and power in hardware, storage and managed private cloud solutions.
The proof of concept will utilize Imagine Communications’ VersioCloud, an advanced, fully IP-enabled, integrated channel playout platform that includes automation, branding, graphics, file server and automated playout capabilities. With Versio offered on the HP Helion Managed Virtual Private Cloud, HP’s open cloud solution hosted in secure HP data centers, media companies can easily create new channels and make their content available for linear distribution and multi-screen environments.
In addition, Imagine Communications is aligning its software-based products with HP servers and storage technologies.
Imagine and Verizon have come together help broadcasters and video service providers implement over-the-top (OTT) video streaming of linear content through an integrated, end-to-end, collaborative solution. By combining Imagine Communications’ broadcast routing, playout and trafficking systems with Verizon’s video encoding, management and content delivery network, online viewers can be assured of one of the highest quality viewing experience on any screen, anytime, anywhere.
“Content creators, aggregators and service providers have been searching for a complete, software-based solution for distributing their live, linear and on-demand content to multiscreen environments,” said Robert Toohey, president, Verizon Digital Media Services. “The combination of our two companies’ capabilities allows these media companies to rapidly develop new workflows and content for distribution to their over-the-top audiences.”
As for its third announcement, Imagine Communications and Touring Video are collaborating on 4K live production capabilities for mobile production.
