#NYDSW @AVNationTV Live From Times Square

Andrew Neale

If there is one defining image of Digital Out of Home in North America it has to be New York’s Times Square, so what better backdrop to have for our first ever live AVNation video podcast than Clear Channel’s Revlon Spectacular (in Times Square)?

Guests on this show (which was broadcast live but you can catch up with it by clicking on the video above) were: Stefanie Manning, Manager of Creative Services at Show+Tell; Ken Goldberg, Chairman of the Digital Signage Federation; Jim Vasgaard, National Sales Manager-Spectacular Projects at Daktronics and Adrian Cotterill, DailyDOOH.

The hosts were Tim Albright (MODERATOR), Chris Neto and George Tucker (and off screen, Richard Tite).

AVNation are incredibly well known in the AV world, but for those of you in Digital Signage or DOOH who may not know that much about them, let’s explain briefly. AVNation was created for the purpose of bringing high quality broadcasts (or netcasts) to the AV community. Very quickly they have managed to build a network of industry professionals who are passionately engaged in furthering the AV industry through education and knowledge.

One of the primary functions of AVNation is to see industry professionals provide first hand knowledge to their colleagues across North America and the world – something they do well at events that our industry knows well, such as ISE and InfoComm.

A very big thanks must go to Daktronics for sponsoring and helping with all the logistics, and setting up the venue (the room is the Daktronics office in Times Square, 1501 Broadway, Ste. 400 New York, NY 10036).
