Big Screen Video Carbon Neutral Certification

Big Screen Video (BSV) has achieved carbon neutral certification of its business operations by Climate Active, marking a major milestone in its sustainability journey.

BSV is the first Australian LED supplier and installer to receive Climate Active certification, which is an ongoing partnership between the Australian Government and businesses to drive voluntary climate action.

The certification follows BSV achieving carbon neutrality across its Australian, Chinese and US operations in July. The company is aiming to further cut its emissions intensity by at least another 30 per cent, or 700 tonnes, by 2030.

“As Australia’s most trusted LED screen supplier, it was vital that we played our part in addressing climate change,” BSV chief executive Paul Ellery said. “Climate Active’s certification is an endorsement of our emission reduction efforts to date and is part of our determination to further eliminate our emissions through a carbon reduction plan. Reducing our emissions not only makes good business sense but also aligns with our company’s desire to empower our staff, suppliers and partners to take action to mitigate the impact of climate change.”

BSV is now required to annually measure and publicly report its emission reduction activities to maintain its Climate Active carbon neutral certification.

We note also that US-based division BSV Digital Displays became the first LED supplier to join Ad Net Zero, an advertising industry-led program to reduce emissions among associated businesses.
