Alberto Shaio Joins Trans-Lux Corporation

Trans-Lux Corporation (TNLX) announced this week the appointment of Alberto Shaio as Chief Operating Officer (COO), a new position within the company.

As COO, Mr. Shaio will manage Trans-Lux’s operations and organizational development, focusing on performance management to shape the company for continued success and strategic growth. Mr. Shaio currently sits on the Trans-Lux Corporation Board of Directors.

Allain, President and Chief Executive Officer, Trans-Lux. “His expertise will enable Trans-Lux to sharpen its business focus through coordinated operational strategies and resource allocation.”

In his nearly 40 years of managing companies and divisions of companies, Mr. Shaio has earned a reputation as a well-respected executive, known for achieving high levels of profitability. Additionally Mr. Shaio has turn-around success in difficult and challenging markets. Prior to joining Trans-Lux Corporation, Mr. Shaio was the President and CEO of Craftsman Industries, a leading manufacturer of mobile marketing and outdoor exhibits for the experiential marketing industry. He previously served as President and CEO of Farrel Corporation, a privately held company that manufactures process equipment for the plastics industry.

In addition to his new role as COO at Trans-Lux Corporation, Mr. Shaio serves as a Member of Advisory Boards of several investment firms and previously served as a Director of New Energy Corporation of Indiana. Additionally, Mr. Shaio has been a member of several multi-national corporate boards both public and private. He is currently President of the Linda Shaio Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the performing arts and Spanish education.
