Digital Signage: The State of the Art and the Promise for the Next Five Years

Digital Signage Today has just published a 77-page guide entitled “Digital Signage: The State of the Art and the Promise for the Next Five Years” – it’s very good and well worth downloading and reading.

Hats off to Scala who sponsored it. The paper is VERY well laid out and incredibly easy to read – we flicked through it dozens of times and picked up new tidbits each time.

It is however very US centric – the nine industry verticals are a bit Scala’esque in terms of their (own) business development (in our opinion the authors would have been better off covering advertising and real estate classifications a la Frost & Sullivan and then sub-dividing the former into High Impact, Retail and Captive Audience).

The document’s Part IV “What the Future Holds?” is perhaps being a bit bold trying to look 5 years out and the choice of industry spokespersons is totally US centric but again, overall a great document and well worth a read.
