Adapt Media Growth

Adapt Media, an agile place-based out-of-home provider, today proudly announces growth in a moment of OOH industry decline. As the OOH sector of Canada’s media industry stalls, Adapt Media zooms upward by partnering with Circle K (Couche-Tard/Mac’s), the mammoth global convenience store operator of over 2,600 gas stations and c-stores in Canada. This partnership doubles Adapt Media’s offerings in the OOH sector and increases its DOOH presence to 3,500+ digital screens across the country.

Amanda Dorenberg, President of COMMB, the OOH industry’s arbiter, praises Adapt’s growth saying, “Adapt Media continues to be at the forefront of place-based marketing using innovation and audience segmentation through thousands of digital and static OOH placements at airports, convenience stores, and DriveTest Centres. Adapt is a leader in combining the reach of OOH with the precision of mobile geo-targeting, programmatic DOOH and mobile in-app and native ad placements, among other advanced strategies. As a valued member of COMMB’s Board of Directors, Adapt continues to provide valuable measurement insights and unparalleled marketing initiatives for the OOH industry.”

To fuel this growth in both the gas station and convenience store world, Adapt Media has created a C-suite of seasoned industry rainmakers.

  • Jamie Thompson, the former President of Adapt Media, moves upwards to the role of CEO of both Adapt Media and its sister mobile location data company, Chameleon Digital Media
  • Amanda Newell, executive firebrand forged in the media foundries of Torstar, Rogers Media, and the CBC, steps into the newly created position of Chief Revenue Officer
  • Rodney Perry, digital expert and former head of Xaxis and Group M’s media data platform, takes on the mantle of Chief Digital Officer
  • Frank Aballini, Adapt’s Senior Vice President, ascends to the role of Chief Operations Officer

Of Adapt’s transformation, Jamie Thompson stated, “I am so proud of the staff at Adapt Media and Chameleon Digital Media for all their hard work and resilience during these trying times, and how we grew and adapted to our environment. I love living up to our name! With OOH assets in C-stores, Circle Ks/Couche-Tards and DriveTest Centres, we have survived the pandemic, and were able to significantly expand our inventory. This excitingly brought us some amazing new talent in our shiny new C-Suite staff.  Amanada Newell is a perfect example of a well-rounded revenue generator and all ‘round woman of the industry, I am proud to have her as CRO of the firm, and now with Rodney Perry taking the reigns as CDO in Chameleon after his years running Xaxis, we are poised to bring some of the greatest value to our agency partners and their clients.”

To match the company’s newly cemented role as industry evolutionary force, Adapt Media has relaunched both its website and all marketing collateral to offer its clients a more streamlined view of Adapt Media’s OOH, DOOH, and mobile data assets.

In addition, Adapt Media has created a new partnership with REACH TV, along with renewing its existing partnerships with Plaza Premium Airport Lounges and Serco’s Drive Test Centres, showing indisputable faith in the fact that OOH venues will rebound massively as Canadians venture OOH and back into the world.
