Tod Technologies New V-Media Pod & EV-Media Pod

Tod Technologies, part of the Transit Outdoor Digital Group have launched the V-Media Pod and, the zero emissions electric vehicle version, The EV-Media Pod.

The V-Media Pod is an innovative, unique, next-gen, bespoke product that has been designed and developed for the commercial vehicle fleet markets, owners, operators, and leasing businesses. It is a digital media pod that features situationally aware LED screens, is location and time specific, and enables data driven advertising and communications. It is an evolutionary product which enables brands, and vehicle fleet owners and operators, to deliver dynamic, relevant contextually aware brand activations by deploying and operating their own mobile digital media platform through one of the fastest growing advertising mediums Digital Out of Home. It offers real-time marketing communications in the right place, at the right time and to the right audience.

Traditional vinyl and full-wrap graphics are an established, successful, and effective method for commercial vehicle brand management and will, of course, co-exist with real-time, targeted, digital format communications. However, to date, commercial vehicle or van fleet owners, operators, and leasing businesses have been either unable to provide (or limited in providing) targeted and contextually aware brand activations that are highly effective, in real time, relevant and in a digital format. It’s a game changer!”

The pods are lightweight and include low energy, high bright, fine pitch LED display modules of the highest quality. They also incorporate environmentally controlled lights sensors which adjusts the displays’ brightness to suit all ambient light conditions. The sensors ensure that the displayed content is optimised in various lighting conditions, including full sunlight and at night, and are set at the ideal level to ensure there is no glare. The proprietary technology consists of 5G-GPS communications, and a hardware health status remote monitoring system, thermal management, anti-vibration system, and is solar assisted (EV-Media Pod™).

The V-Media Pod™ has been three years in the making, during which there was extensive research and development, thousands of road miles covered, and rigorous product testing to create a successful and fit-for-purpose product.
