ABC Networks Latest iPad App

To encourage viewers to watch its new series My Generation, the ABC network – in conjunction with The Nielsen Company – has launched a My Generation Sync iPad App that’s developed to be used as the fans watch the show debuting Sept. 23.

It uses Nielsen’s Media-Sync Platform, an audio watermarking technology that enables the app to synch up with episodes of the show, either as they’re being broadcast or when viewers watch recordings of the show.

The viewers can access complementary interactive content via the App, as well as connect and chat with other viewers. Appararently, the idea is to capture and cater to My Generation’s most engaged fans by creating an immersive viewing experience.
