Barbie Approaches 50

Spotted in Hamleys’ window in London this 50th Celebration project for Barbie fills most of the shop window (it’s a 95 Sq Ft / 8.8 sqm rear projection). At 12pm on Sunday 8th March it breaks from a birthday celebration countdown into a 15 minute video designed to wow shoppers with images of the 5 fabulous decades of Barbie’s unapologetic glam, just as her birthday party celebrations begin in store!

Urban Digital – the third space™ (formerly WindowGain UK) were chosen by Mattel’s brand and design agency Oakwood-dc to install and manage the content delivery of the campaign which runs until the end of March 2009.

Simon Russell, Urban Digital Managing Director told us “We are delighted to be associated with such an iconic brand as Barbie and being able to assist our client in reaching their target audience in the increasingly highly sought after third space. We worked in partnership with a specialist installation company and being able to provide a total content delivery solution is opening up opportunities for further exciting high profile installations.”
