With the strong growth of Cieslok’s mobile media offerings over the past two years, Cieslok Media Ltd. has branched out, creating Engage Mobile.

EngageLogoThe move to expand and brand a subsidiary department within Cieslok comes after the company’s success in the mobile environment. Cieslok’s strategic approach to its mobile offerings includes full campaign strategy development, research, demographic segmentation, plus attribution analytics.

Receptiveness by advertising agencies to Cieslok’s offering is what pushed the organization to departmentalize. The department is led by Mike Blanchard, director of mobile media at Engage, who has forged many exclusive partnerships for Engage Mobile.

Jörg Cieslok, president & CEO, says, “The move to departmentalize and create a subsidiary brand for our mobile products is not only based on our success in the mobile spectrum thus far, but also aligns with our 2015 plans to keep technology at the forefront of what we do, in both our OOH offerings and mobile.”

Blanchard says, “Mobile represents a very unique opportunity; it allows you to be relevant in ways you simply cannot be in other mainstream media. First and foremost one needs to truly understand how the medium is being consumed, and in turn what will resonate with Canadians. Our technologies are unique and impactful, but the key is understanding how to incorporate them into a strategy. I like to position ourselves as marketers with tremendous technologies at our disposal, and, of course, one without the other is simply not sustainable.”

Cieslok Media is a large-scale out-of-home and digital out-of-home media supplier in Canada with offices in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. Mobile advertising elements such as geo-targeted, in-app banner ads as well as unique digital capabilities like live streaming video, RSS feeds from Twitter, Instagram, news and sports updates, and the ability to display multiple creative elements play a major role in the Cieslok network.
