May kicks off Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, which celebrates the contributions that generations of AAPIs have made to American history, society, and culture. One of the fastest-growing groups of people in the U.S., our country’s community of AAPIs contains multitudes, made up of 24 million Americans, including 50+ ethnic groups, from 40+ different countries.

The Federal Asian Pacific American Council (FAPAC), the premier organization representing Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islanders Federal employees, announced that their 2024 AAPI Heritage month theme will be a continuation of their ‘Advancing Leaders’ series, which began in 2021 and pays homage to AAPI visionaries and trailblazers who have shaped history and continue to influence our collective future.

Taking inspiration from that theme, Clear Channel’s 2024 campaign recognizes notable AAPI visionaries who have blazed trails in science, the arts, technology and more under the moniker, ‘Meet the Pioneers’.

Their creative will run across their nationwide digital network all month long. Daryl Quitalig, art director, CCO-Midwest, lent his creative talents to elevate these inspiring individuals.

• Steve Chen, Co-founder, YouTube

• Modesto “Larry” Itliong, Union Organizer
