JCDecaux UK has signed up as a Patron of the British Beauty Council, further demonstrating the company’s commitment to help businesses across all categories recover more quickly post-pandemic while also supporting recovery within high streets and city centres.

Mark Bucknell, Chief Commercial Officer, JCDecaux UK told us “We are very pleased to become Patrons of the British Beauty Council. Our partnership has already supported the organisation and its members by using the power of the public screen to ensure that the important #OhHelloBeauty campaign message reached as many consumers as possible throughout the country as the beauty industry unlocked. Now we are looking forward to working with British Beauty Council members to help this critically important sector recover post-pandemic, ensuring optimum access to our Out-of-Home and Digital Out-of-Home media channels, and all the benefits they are proven to provide”.

The British Beauty Council was founded to represent the voices, opinions and needs of all elements of the British beauty industry. The organisation’s ambition is to ensure the beauty industry is recognised and valued at all levels of government, throughout the wider economy, and by consumers.

The partnership began with JCDecaux’s support of #OhHelloBeauty, the British Beauty Council’s high-profile Out-of-Home and online campaign, which celebrated the return of the beauty industry following 17th May’s easing of lockdown, and encouraged consumers to return to hair and beauty salons across the country.

Diana Kennedy, Head of Partnerships & Engagement, British Beauty Council said “The British Beauty Council is dedicated to supporting businesses in all areas of the personal care sector, which has struggled so much since the start of the pandemic. Our Patrons play a key role in helping us to do this effectively, providing a wide range of member benefits and supporting us to promote and champion change within the sector. We are delighted to welcome JCDecaux UK as a new Patron, providing straightforward and effective access to Out-of-Home media and insights for our members”.

Going forward, the partnership will provide British Beauty Council members with straightforward access to JCDecaux’s UK-wide media channels, along with tailored expert support and advice designed to help businesses of all sizes make the most of OOH media’s unique benefits.

Insight from JCDecaux’s Sentiment Tracker shows that now is the right time for beauty brands to communicate with consumers: 32% of people want to hear more from personal care brands.
