Late on Friday we posted a short piece ‘TargetCast And Ripple To Merge?‘ and today there will be an official announcement that the former has acquired the latter.
It’s likely that Jerry Hall, President/CEO of TargetCast Networks, Inc. will stay CEO and run the much enlarged group. Ripple as a brand we suspect would die.
The acquisition goes someway to help TCN with their stated ambition of specialising in the delivery of digital advertising in specific away from home locations such as restaurants, coffee shops, hotels, health clubs, golf clubs, and medical offices.
The new combined offering will by our calculations give 1,400 locations with well over 3,000 screens and is further proof of consolidation in the industry.
