Cisco To Launch Ad Exchange

Cisco were keen to keep this quiet but word reaches us that they are planning to launch (though ‘announce’ without real customers might be a better description) an online digital signage / mobile ad exchange system.

A system that would of course end up competing with the likes of Adcentricty, BookingDooh and SeeSaw.

By all accounts Cisco believe they have signed up a number of agencies and indeed in all probability have Nielsen on board as well.

Cisco couldn’t sell hardware to networks, what on earth makes them think they can sell media inventory on others’ networks?
