We were only talking to Dynamax’s PR folks last week about how we think that Kiosk folks simply don’t get Digital Signage at all – which is why so many, if not all of the Kiosk events that try to do Digital Signage add-ons fair so badly – come on some of them have been really, really bad and there is no evidence to suggest that the ones coming up later this year in Europe will be any better, Ed
Anyway, maybe this is a tacit admission of this but interesting email from Mark Freed, Vice President, The Digital Signage Show and KioskCom Self Service Expo was received today…
So you think you are an industry expert? We want YOU to put your creative hat on! KioskCom Self Service Expo, co-located with The Digital Signage Show, announces the:
“When is a Kiosk Digital Signage?” contest.
The rules are simple: Submit up to 100-words with your take on “when a kiosk is digital signage” or “when digital signage is a kiosk” by responding to this email by 5pm ET on September 15th, 2008.
We will evaluate each entry and announce the winner October 15, 2008 at the shows in New York City.
The Grand Prize Winner will receive the following:
- KioskCom Self Service Expo and The Digital Signage Show will publish your winning quote on the KioskCom Self Service Expo and The Digital Signage Show web sites.
- The winning quote will be announced during Opening Remarks and Keynote Session at the New York event on Wednesday, October 15, 2008.
- The Digital Signage Show and KioskCom Self Service Expo will promote the winning quote on signage at the New York event in October 15-16, 2008.
Here is a fun way to educate our industry and get noticed. We expect over 2,500 attendees at the New York event including brand marketers, retailers and other end-user organizations, advertising agencies, digital signage network owners and more buyers and solutions providers than any other event for customer-facing technology.
For more information about this contest or for information on The Digital Signage Show New York and KioskCom Self Service Expo New York, please contact Mark Freed at email@example.com or Lawrence Dvorchik at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (203) 371-6322.
The “Grand Prizes” are hardly compelling but an interesting initiative nonetheless.
