Aeropostale In Times Square

Gail Chiasson, North American Editor

Aeropostale’s 19,000 sq. ft. flagship store opening today in Times Square will welcome shoppers with some high-tech interactivity.

The company, which sells men’s and women’s clothes, shoes and accessories, is apparently aiming to be a cutting-edge brand ambassador that will introduce the concept to international visitors, and that will ease overseas expansion efforts.

We understand that the store is welcoming visitors with a 120’ animated billboard illuminated by 2 million LEDs and capable of broadcasting content that includes shoppers dancing with virtual models.

Earlier in the day (in a previous version of the post) we asked “If any of our readers happen to grab a good photo of same, we’d love to run a copy” so a BIG thanks to Graeme Spicer NEC / VUKUNET who supplied the photo here and via his iPhone the vlogrobot which can be found here.
