MIS Rebrand Q&A’s

It is expected that on Monday 30th July Dunnhumby will issue a press release stating that TescoTV will become Tesco Screens.

This follows on from several other UK re-branding exercises: –

– As previously reported, MIS (best known for SubPostmasterTV) has now grouped the Post Office, Local Tax Offices, Medical Centers, Convenience Stores, Restaurants and Golf Clubs under the umbrella brand The Community Network.

The MIS Rebrand Q&A document is attached to this email for those who wish to read further (there is some very interesting stuff in there for our Australian and New Zealand readers)

– In early July, Jigsaw Innovations, competing with (would you believe it) 64 other companies with the word “Jigsaw” in their name announced that they have renamed themselves as ICION Systems.

ICION should be pronounced as “I-see-on”

If you have been working with Digital Signage in the UK over the past 5 years then you will have undoubtedly come across James Game and his team at Jigsaw. They were one of the first AV installers who got to grips with digital signage and have slowly over time cleverly built up some nice (true) networks.

Their Mortgage Advice Bureau network for example has the capacity to grow to 400 sites – it will be 100 strong by the end of February 2008!
