The original management team behind IQ, one of the early pioneers in the digital media network sector announced this week the launch of a larger group of related businesses under the umbrella name of Screen Media Group Limited.

I am told that the launch is the “culmination of restructuring and acquisition activity leading to the creation of three companies providing specialist services within the digital media network sector”.

The group seems to be made up of three component parts…

  1. I have mentioned IQ Digital Media Networks Ltd (formerly IQ Group) before – they are a full service support partner that establishes, installs and manages screen networks on behalf of media owners and retailers.

They are a Scala Certified Partner and manage and support, amongst others, a digital in-store communication network in Audi UK showrooms, the Sainsbury’s Convenience TV network (basically Firebrand Media’s network) and a customer entertainment channel for Irish leisure retailer, Lifestyle Sports.

  2. Screen Media Sales Limited offers screen network owners the ability to do advertising sales (especially Local and Regional advertising)
  3. Razor Communications Ltd is a recently acquired Media Owner – with prestige car showrooms and leisure outlets, including hotels and the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle.

David Williams, Chairman of Screen Media Group said “Screen Media Group offers a holistic screen media solution to brands, retailers and media owners, by bringing together specialist functions which can be employed as collective or individual components. This means we can engage with customers at all levels of network development and offer the benefit of expertise gained from over 6 years experience of operating within a wide range of environments worldwide.”
