Frank Weishaupt has joined Jumptap, targeted mobile advertising company, as chief operating officer.
The appointment follows Jumptap’s recent $27.5 million financing round. Weishaupt position is a new role at Jumptap with the goal of driving sales and the market brand.
Weishaupt, who has more than 15 years of digital media experience, was recently senior vice-president of sales and publisher marketplace at Criteo. Prior to Criteo, Weishaupt spent 10 years at Yahoo! in several roles, including that of vice- president of advertising marketplaces. Before joining Yahoo!, Weishaupt held management and executive positions at well-regarded Internet companies including AOL in the mid-1990s.
“The exploding mobile ad market and the innovative way in which Jumptap delivers targeting and mobile audience data are just two of the reasons why I’m excited to be joining the company,” says Weishaupt . “Jumptap is answering advertisers’ call for more data and relevancy in a way unlike anyone else in the industry.”
Jumptap. which reaches 107 million mobile users in the U.S. and 156 million mobile users worldwide, is also naming John Hadl, venture partner at US Venture Partners, to the company board.
