Go On, Take Their Call, @Intel_Jose Wants Your Info 4 Free

We’ve warned readers before about the Pie In The Sky Research conducted by those over at Northern Sky Research and news in this week after a couple of face to face gossip sessions at #CES2015 in Lost Wages is that they are up to their old tricks again.

The scam of course is that they ring every vendor involved in screen manufacture or digital signage that they can think of, interview them over the phone, compile the ‘data’ (well researched I am sure you will agree) and sell a hefty report for thousands of dollars (all based on YOU, DEAR READER’s input) and all at a cost of about nothing.
This latest round of cold calling though seems to be slightly worse as it involves Intel and NSR trying to put together some kind of ‘Digital Signage Trends and Use Cases‘ report.
In an email sent by NRS to most of the digital signage software companies that Intel now COMPETES with, it says that “Intel is seeking to understand the evolution of Screens, Players, Software and Content along with use cases for Digital Signage worldwide”.
If you want to give Intel all of your competitive information for free then go ahead .. take their call!
