#dse2016 Makitso New To The US

Gail Chiasson, North American Editor

We never have enough time to meet everyone that we’d like to at #dse2016 (or any other year) but when we can, we do: Makitso was a company that we’d never met before.

Makitso's John TracyAlthough already operating in the UK, Dubai and Australia (and with a factory in China), Makitso only entered the US market six month ago.

“We’re just building in the US,” said John Tracy, national sales executive, while showing us a tilted interactive table called the Sslab which comes in multiple sizes from 45” to 65” and can, he said, use any operating system. The Sslab can also be customized to meet the customer’s needs, including being made larger by using a double base. The unit is both height and pitch adjustable and touch screens can be mounted in a portrait or landscape configuration.

Another Makitso product is the Blade, which, is, as Tracy said, “the world’s thinnest kiosk” at only 1.65” thick. It packs down into a case for easy mobility.

Brand new at the exhibit was the Double-sided Blade Tower, customized for outdoor use with a full HVAC unit for harsh environments.
