How can modern technology be used to improve urban space and interaction with citizens to increase quality of life? What requirements will cities around the world have to meet in order to build prosperous, liveable cities?

These are just some of the things our three esteemed speakers will be examining in our next half day City Briefing, which takes place next Wednesday November 30, 2016 in London.

  • Attendees will also be able to hear from new Primesight Managing Director Matt Teeman about LinkNYC’s expansion plans in the UK involving Intersection / Primesight and BT. For many it will also be their first chance to hear Matt speak.  He has a very interesting background with a wide range of experience in both classic and digital media having spent time at BBC Magazine, Metro and most recently in charge of Bloomberg’s European media assets.
  • Sandra Baer who is the President of Personal Cities, a smart city company focused on innovation and stakeholder engagement, is a champion of creative collaboration between the public and private sectors; her firm delivers strategic advice to cities and companies. Sandra will talk about the ‘Changing Landscape of Smart Cities‘, as she has a new definition of a smart city that focuses on the critical elements of a successful smart city and its leadership -including the characteristics of savvy city leaders! Based on her extensive experience she will describe the requirements that cities around the world are going to have to meet in order to build prosperous, liveable cities. The case studies that she will present will demonstrate the need for: a smart city executive committee, strengthened outreach and new collaborations to include all stakeholders. Sandra has previously served as Senior Director for Alliances at the Smart Cities Council where she was responsible for leading engagement with government and civic leaders in cities around the globe.
  • London based Private Investment Boutique DeBere Capital Partners Managing Partner Dirk Huelsermann will be speaking about ‘SmartCities and the Internet of Things (IoT)‘ – two of the hottest topics in the technology world at the moment. Dirk said at the DailyDOOH Investor Conference in New York recently that “Strategic opportunities abound, whether it be using modern technology to improve urban space or interacting with citizens to increase quality of life. “By 2025 we will see, over 26 groundbreaking SmartCities projects globally and with an expected market size of $1.5 trillion there are many reasons why investors and the out of home media owners who have embraced digital should sit up and take note”.  Dirk will explore how the OOH and DOOH industry intersects with Smart Cities and how modern technology can be used to improve urban space and interaction with citizens to increase quality of life.

This event is conveniently the day before The DailyDOOH Gala Awards for anyone flying in from abroad or heading into London specifically for that.
