Commerce Court, a complex of four prominent Toronto office buildings has now been added to Onestop’s Digital Office Network portfolio, along with other buildings located in Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver. All were managed by GWL Realty Advisors Inc..

Knowing that Captivate has had these, and has screens in other office buildings in Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver and Montreal, we wondered whether Captivate might be pulling out of Canada, where the company was originally founded as the Elevator News Network, so we spoke to Scott Marden, chief marketing officer at Captivate.

“Absolutely not,” said Marden. “We are growing, adding buildings in both Canada and the US. Among the buildings we’ve recently added in Canada are Bay-Adelaide Centre East in Toronto which is the Deloitte headquarters, MNT in Vancouver, and the Eau Claire Tower and Calgary City Centre, both in Calgary. And in the US, we’ve now entered the cities of both Minneapolis and Indianapolis. We are doing well and are very active.”

Cam Milne, vice-president and general manager, PATTISON Onestop, said, “PATTISON Onestop has enjoyed a successful five-year partnership with GWL Realty Advisors, and the addition of these commercial properties and 128 new screens will increase the reach of our Network in key markets across Canada. We are very excited to have a presence in some of Canada’s most prominent office buildings, including Toronto’s Commerce Court and Calgary’s Stock Exchange Tower.”

Onestop’s Digital Office Network delivers content to office towers in seven major markets across Canada and gives advertisers the opportunity to reach professionals throughout their workday. It provides dynamic content such as national and regional news, weather, traffic and financial updates, advertisements and other relevant information to building tenants and guests. Onestop’s elevator screens serve as a communication tool for office buildings, allowing property managers to share building information and announcements in an environmentally friendly way.

Owned by Generation Partners and Gannett, Captivate’s 12,000 screens are located in 1,800 premier office buildings across top urban markets in North America.
