Imagesound Goes To America

In-store music provider Imagesound is branching out and exploring new marketplaces. The latest worldwide venture is the introduction of Imagesound-Americas who open for business this month.

There will likely be two young Pratts in charge of the business. Ken Pratt’s son, Mark is Head of Global Licensing for Imagesound group and will be spending a lot of time in the US we understand (Ken is Managing Director, Operations and Finance of Imagseound in the UK).

The business will be based in Hollywood, Florida and the company plans to provide business music, retail radio and on-screen media solutions across the Americas!

Michael Clark Managing Director Imagesound Plc told us “This is an exciting time for Imagesound Plc we are very successful with our highly bespoke MusicStyling brand in the US hospitality sector and feel that the time is now right to launch our core Imagesound model”

Ken’s eldest son will be heading up the venture and he told us exclusively “With Imagesound Americas LLC being an independent distributor of Imagesound we hope to maintain the excellence in technology, service and music content while solidifying our own identity and style” said Damian Pratt, Managing Director, Imagesound Americas LLC.

Managing Director, Operations and Finance

Ken Pratt is a chartered management accountant and was appointed managing director of operations and finance of Imagesound plc in December 2007. He had joined the group as finance director and company secretary in March 2006 following over 13 successful years’ involvement in venture capital backed companies primarily within the leisure industry. Ken was previously finance director for Tom Cobleigh Plc and Eton Group Limited. Earlier in his career Ken also held senior management positions with Shell, Unilever and The Littlewoods Organisation. Ken is also a lay member of the Lord Chancellor’s Advisory Committee for Nottinghamshire.
