Retail marketing agency abc media has appointed Phil Burroughes as Commercial Director.
Phil was previously Managing Director at Savvy marketing, where he led the planning and implementation of all of their shopper marketing activity although he is probably best known in the UK for heading up Asda’s media centre between 2006 and 2009.
Whilst there he directed its development into one of the foremost retail media suppliers in the UK.
Phil told us “The developments that abc have driven for the industry through their PlanMyMedia.com product was one of the key reasons for joining. By making retail media so easy to plan and buy, abc are really leading the market”.
Phil will ultimately be heading up a ten person sales team at abc, as the company grows to accommodate new additions to their portfolio and to account for the rise in demand for shopper marketing media. He will report directly into CEO Jon Southcombe.
