Digital signage provider Wireless Ronin Technologies Inc., Minneapolis, has reached a milestone with the deployment of more than 1,000 digital menu board displays managed by RoninCast digital signage software in applications for food service industry customers, including six fortune 500 companies.
“This milestone signifies that the food service industry’s digital signage adoption rate has begun to gather momentum as our clients receive the benefits offered by digital menu board technology,” says Jim Granger, president and CEO, Wireless Ronin. “We expect adoption rates to continue to climb as our current clients, new clients and the food service industry recognize the return on investment in digital signage applications.”
Wireless Ronin provides RoninCast digital signage software solutions to the food service industry including indoor and outdoor digital menu boards, promotional boards, interactive kiosks and infotainment applications. Clients receive hosting and technical support for these applications from the Network Operations Center in Wireless Ronin’s Minneapolis headquarters.
“Our ongoing client support is absolutely critical to making clients’ digital menu board initiatives successful,” says Scott Koller, executive vice president and chief operating officer. “Long after the installation is complete, our clients know that we will support their networks with a completely hosted 24/7/365 solution, including ongoing software enhancements, maintenance and technical support for their entire network lifecycle.”
Wireless Ronin management says that the food service industry has adopted digital signage because of these key drivers: more effective menu day-part management, provision of accurate nutritional information and integration with other key client applications such as POS, inventory and store specific data. In addition, improved pricing and warranty support from key hardware providers has augmented the return on investment for food service digital menu board initiatives.
