Baby TV Expands Into 7 New Hospitals

Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

Last we heard was that BabyTV was up for sale (see our story December 2009) but news just in that the network is continuing its expansion across UK antenatal clinics in 7 new (to them) hospitals.

14 new screens are expected to be installed by the end of Q1, and 15 more hospitals are due to come on board by the end of 2010.

Hastings, Eastbourne, Rugby, Beckenham, Orpington and Coventry hospitals will come onto the network this spring and will bring the network to 271 screens across 113 hospitals in total.

The Baby TV channel provides information on staying healthy and caring for newborns, as well as programming from content partners such as BFTV.

Current advertisers include government agencies DoH and HMRC, and leading FMCG’s and nursery brands targeting young families.
