Live, in-store radio to 1,500 SPAR stores
Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief
I am still in the midst of writing an article about Immedia Broadcasting after a visit to their studios in Newbury a few week’s back AND it seems that they are still not in a position to announce their REALLY BIG profile High Street retail win but anyway they have announced today that SPAR UK has renewed (and slightly revised) its contract with them for a further three years.
Under the revised contract, Immedia will broadcast live, in-store radio to the 1,500 SPAR stores already receiving the service, on a paid-for, monthly subscription basis per store (err goood revenues!!!).
Immedia also has the opportunity to extend the SPAR Live! service to an additional 1,000 stores across the UK upon further subscription.
Dev Dhillon, Promotions Manager for SPAR (UK) Limited was quoted as saying
“As early adopters of the Impulse Live network, SPAR and its retailers have experienced the benefits of Immedia’s in-store radio service. SPAR is committed to developing this medium, and looks forward to working with Immedia over the next 3 years to engage our consumers through SPAR Live! radio.”
Separately I see that Immedia’s CEO, Bruno Brookes, is back on the Radio – folks my age will remember Bruno from his days on BBC’s Radio 1. Bruno is taking part in a number of BBC anniversary Radio programmes on Sunday evenings.
