Clear Channel Execs At Digital Hollywood NY

Clear Channel executives were front and centre at the first Digital Hollywood New York to discuss how the global media and entertainment company is leveraging its traditional media leadership with innovative developments in the digital arena.

Digital Hollywood New York took place this week at the Lighthouse Conference Center, New York City.

John Partilla, executive vice-president and president of Global Media Sales at Clear Channel Communications tackled the topic of ‘New York, New York: The Media Capital Becomes Digital Media Capital – New Platforms, New Opportunities,’ speaking on digital developments at both the company’s radio and outdoor divisions. He discussed how ‘traditional’ aspects of those media remain powerful forces that are leveraged further through new digital expressions and platforms.

Harry Coghlan, president and general manager, Clear Channel Outdoor – New York & Spectacolor Divisions, spoke on how advertisers are leveraging its New York and Spectacolor out-of-home assets as part of a panel on ‘Advertising Strategy, Expenditure and Analysis: Broadcast and Cable vs. the New Platforms: Broadband, Social Networks, Outdoor, Mobile, VOD and PVR.’

Gerrit Meier, COO Digital, Clear Channel Radio also participated in a panel on ‘Music Apps for SmartPhones, Tablets & Social Media – Reaching Millions – Monetization.’ He highlighted Clear Channel Radio’s digital platform iheartradio, which now has a total of 10 million unique downloads. Available on the iPhone, iPod Touch, Blackberry and Android devices, iheartradio streams more than 750 radio stations, celebrity-hosted digital channels and local traffic reports.
