STRATACACHE is showcasing its newest product, PrimaSeeTM, a translucent display at Retail Business Technology Expo in Earls Court today and tomorrow (March 16-17).

Providing an innovative, interactive experience for consumers, PrimaSee is ideal for freezer/cooler doors, end caps, display cases, countertops, and store fixtures in retail environments where brands can light up their messages and entice consumers during the path to purchase.

“PrimaSee is the latest in-store media to aid consumers in their purchasing decisions,” said Chris Riegel, STRATACACHE CEO. “This technology provides full-motion, high-impact video to assist consumers with wayfinding, all while allowing them to view the product on the shelves behind the message. Truly transforming the path to purchase, this unique technology will alter the retail environment within the next year.”

Using the aisle or end cap as an advertising palette, retailers can cross-promote and offer wayfinding solutions to additional products. A prime example is a gallon of ice cream that trails along with you during your trip down the freezer aisle, stopping at the door where the product resides.

This new, intriguing experience further engages consumers by offering in-store promotional coupons, videos, or social media interactions via 2D QR codes electronically displayed on the translucent screens.

The software powering the PrimaSee experience – STRATACACHE’s ActiVia for Media – is a leading in-store digital signage platform. This highly optimized, Web-accessible solution provides the necessary tools to create, schedule, manage and monitor marketing messages. Users can centrally deliver real-time, targeted messages to specific locations based on customer demographics and promotional campaigns.

The company will also conduct an insightful seminar on retail digital media deployment. Leading the speaking seminar will be Stratache Director of Business Development, Jason Palmer. The session titled, ‘Retailers deploying profitable multi-thousand digital display networks that also make great impact on the customer experience, how?‘, will take place on March 17, 2011 at 3:30-4:05 p.m. in Theatre A . We will try to get there.

I saw this at Euro Shop in the freezer capacity. It was quite dark and made worse when the freezer shelves would be full of boxes especially if they weren’t white. Shame really.

[…] Translucent Displays mean that customers can potentially access product information and details via a freezer door LCD.  Very interesting, but now I have to get people off the freezer door to get my fishsticks.  Seems like we’re already climbing over each other.  Really cool concept.  I look forward to the creative types who find an ROI for it.
