This Sunday I’m off to Montreux for the Festival of Media (May 9-10) , dedicated to media creativity and innovation.
In its fifth year, the global festival will be attended by leaders from international and pan-regional advertisers, media agencies and media owners. The event should provide us with an insight in media innovations as well as discuss the future landscape of the industry.
In 2009, The Festival of Media launched a global awards ceremony that is now one of the world’s largest advertising ceremonies by number of entries, attracting work from more than 40 countries. The results for this year’s Festival of Media Awards will be revealed on Tuesday night at a gala award ceremony.
The festival also has a competition called the Media Accelerator Program (MAP). The competition aims to uncover the emerging digital businesses that will transform the media industry over the coming years. Some 11 companies have been shortlisted.
