Entrepreneur, actor and rocker Gene Simmons, along with business partner, David Lucatch, Ortsbo president, will take the stage as keynote speakers for the Mobile Marketing Association’s MMA Forum Los Angeles at 9:15 a.m., Nov. 17, at the SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills.
While rock stars aren’t run-of-the-mill when it comes to keynote speakers, Simmons, who speaks four languages fluently, has the background for his and Lucatch’s essential message – that mobile marketers need to expand their offerings in order to speak in the languages of their consumers. Simmons, legendary frontman and co-founder of the rock group KISS, is a business partner and serves as spokesman for Ortsbo.com – leading experiential language platform – which has been led by Lucatch since its founding in 2010. The Ortsbo solution enables the real-time translation of digital messages into more than 50 languages.
On May 20/11, Simmons and KISS bandmate Paul Stanley, along with Lucatch and Ortsbo.com became Guinness Book world-record holders. Simmons and Stanley led an online chat with fans worldwide, hosted by Ortsbo.com. The chat brought together participants from 88 countries and enabled fans to communicate with the KISS rockers in their own languages in real-time through Ortsbo’s Live & Global platform.
Simmons and Lucatch join featured speaker Los Angeles Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa and other speakers on the Forum program. The Forum brings together thought leaders from top brands, agencies, carriers and others across the global mobile marketing ecosystem.
This year, the MMA Forum will explore how Consumer Centric Engagement can deliver value to brands and marketers. Brands and agencies recognize that the mobile channel is a highly effective way to reach consumers. Forum attendees will learn more about the diverse options mobile presents to ensure a maximally effective campaign.
The MMA Forum Los Angeles will also be the scene of the annual MMA Mobile Marketing Awards Gala. The MMA Awards for innovation and leadership is the only dedicated global mobile marketing awards program recognizing outstanding achievement within the industry. The program strives to find the best campaigns from every corner of the globe.
The MMA consists of 700 member companies, representing over 40 countries around the globe, including all members of the mobile media ecosystem.
