Los Angeles-based Denizen Company, a rapidly growing social media marketing and content company, has tapped veteran producer, Billy Baughman as its new executive producer.

Baughman brings his years of experience creating visually and emotionally compelling content to help reinforce Denizen’s capability to service multiple accounts. He is expected to enrich the young company with his unique insights from mainstream broadcast advertising.

Baughman background includes feature casting at Universal Studios; film production,; Olive Jar, (an animation studio acquired by Red Sky Interactive), where he was producer for its film/television division; Incubator Films as director of development and then as executive producer (where he oversaw such TV spots as Burger King’s ‘Bad Ass Burger’ (Crispin Porter + Bogusky), Budweiser (BBDO), and Big Dog Motorcycle (Pocket Hurcules). He then worked on DISconnected for MTV Networks, a made-for-cable film.

“Billy has a body of work and an attitude that fits Denizen’s sensibilities,” says Joel Jensen, Denizen co-founder. “He understands what the social web is and what smart advertising can do for the medium. His wisdom has already proven indispensable and we’re thrilled about the future.”

“Denizen has already separated itself from its competitors with the incredibly unique content that it has invented for its clients,” says Baughman. “After seeing what kind of thinking was behind this company I was confident I had found a new home.”

Since joining Denizen Company, Baughman has already worked on several projects, including for two projects for Qualcomm as well as a viral video PSA promoting the motion picture Contagion.
