KFC RFP?

Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

We thought that the folks at Maler Corp and TELentice had this contract nailed down but word reaches us that there may well be an RFP out already for KFC in the UK.

In our story last October ‘KFC Digital Menu Board Pilots, London‘ we made mention that ‘The pilot has been running in 12 KFC stores since August using TELentice” – the RFP may be something different (perhaps more like the McDonalds music / audio / signage offering in London that will be announced shortly) rather than just menu boards.

There are a number of KFC ‘pilots’ as we wrote in our post about Wireless Ronin – http://www.dailydooh.com/archives/5210 BUT as we said “For some while now Ronin has been touting deals with the likes of KFC and Chrysler when in fact all they are is pilot projects with some hope BUT no certainty of a larger rollout.

In the conference call Ronin finally admitted that neither pilot was funded by the corporate parent – i.e. each rollout was in fact dependent upon getting individual franchisees and dealers to buy in with real money.”
