Sir Elton John is featured in a new Out-of-Home campaign this holiday season with the message, ‘A knight fighting for those with AIDS. Compassion – Pass It On’.

Sir Elton John, Founder of the Elton John AIDS Foundation said, “If we can find the love as a global community to agree that every life has equal value, if we can summon the compassion to provide treatment and prevention for everyone living with HIV – and I mean everyone, no matter who they are, where they live, or how rich or poor they may be – we can end AIDS forever.”

The nationwide OOH public service campaign being displayed across JCDecaux advertising sites including roadside, retail and rail locations from The Foundation for a Better Life will run for two-weeks from December 28, 2020.

Launching concurrently in both the UK and the USA, the campaign encourages the public to ‘Share a message of compassion’ across social media, using the hashtags #Compassion and #PassitOn.

Gary Dixon, President of The Foundation for a Better Life said, “Sir Elton John’s devotion to the important cause of AIDS awareness and research is well known around the world and we are honoured that he has so generously agreed to participate in our #PassitOn campaign in the UK and the USA. Our campaign creative pays tribute to the work of The Elton John AIDS Foundation and shines a light on the role that we can all play by showing compassion for others in our day-to-day lives.”

The Elton John AIDS Foundation was established in 1992 and is one of the leading independent AIDS organisations in the world. The Foundation’s mission is simple: to be a powerful force in ending the AIDS epidemic and is committed to no more discrimination, no more HIV infections, no more AIDS deaths. No matter who or where you are.

Mark Bucknell Chief Commercial Officer, JCDecaux UK said, “This is an inspiring message from The Foundation for a Better Life and a very public thank you for the work of Sir Elton John, on the most public of all advertising mediums Out-of-Home. We are proud to bring this campaign to Out-of-Home screens this holiday season, connecting with people across the UK.”
